Writer's Block: Confidences

Who do you think it is easier to talk about your problems with: your friends, your family, or strangers?

View 501 Answers

Somebody needs to get my creative juices flowing!

Friends, family, strangers.

Strangers are easiest to talk to because a stranger has an unbiased opinion.
Downside?

Well, I wouldn't talk to a stranger about the majority of things that I consider "problems."

Friends are the most obvious people you go to to talk. But you only go to them if you trust them 100%. If you don't, well then...

you go to your family.

Unless of course, your problems are about your family.

Then, like me, you resort to your LiveJournal and get on with your life.

LiveJournal helps me do that.

Writer's Block: Heart to Heart

Valentine's Day: love it or hate it?

View 500 Answers

Had to answer this one.

Actually, I quite dislike it, whether or not I have a Valentine (which I do, this year).

For those of you who aren't partial to that response, let me provide some hopefully viable justification:

Why is it that you need an actual day for you to tell somebody you love them? I know that I tell my boyfriend I love him every day....more than once a day, for that matter. I don't need a designated date to remind me to tell the special people in my life that I care. I do that anyway. It's always crucial to let people know that you love them. Right?

That being said, Happy freaking Valentine's Day, anyhow, losers. :)

"What the buck."

I think Michael Buckley is the most amusing person I've ever seen in my life.

If you wanna laugh, the above is where you go. He never fails to make me laugh, ever.

I exercised today. It felt really good. I'm gonna go for a walk later. That'll feel really good, too. And then I'll do it again tomorrow.

Say hooray to being healthy and thin!

HOORAY!

A very happy holiday to everyone, by the way. And HAPPY ALMOST 2009!!

Already?!

What the buck. :D

"Johnny can't decide..."

I have a few questions, for those who care to answer.

1. How does one remain humble?
2. How does one preserve their naivety and innocence?
3. How does one learn to be an educator, not a tolerator?

Help?

Thanks.

Charlie Brown.
Together, we'd thrill the island with our cynicism and talk about how much life sucks right about now.

Perfect.

"Hard to see the light now..."

Everyone's issues seem so enormous.
Really.

But get a grip.
Seriously.

Take a look at the world!! Take a look at what this world has come to!! There are people dying of hunger. Do you realize the simplicity of that statement?!!! People are dying because they do not have enough to EAT. We're so used to opening our fridges and pantries and greedily downing the first thing we see. There are some people who do not have enough money to afford a place to live! We walk into lovely homes each and every day. We sleep in comfortable beds. We are warm. Sheltered. Some people aren't. These are enormous issues. Issues that concern everyone in the world.

Personal depression?
Feelings of worthlessness?
Lost love?

No.

Not a big deal.

And anyone who's ever felt that these miniscule problems were anything of importance.
Bastards.
Idiotic, childish, selfish, rude, naive bastards.

This,
dear friends,
includes myself.

Be well.

Writer's Block: The Meaning of Love

What does love mean to you, and why? Have you always felt this way?

Submitted By [info]rynanne

View 500 Answers

Love.
I've recently been contemplating this particular word more than any other in the English language.
Love.
Love means.....
...you are willing to go through anything for that one person you just adore.
...you cannot stop thinking about an incredible time the two of you once had.
...you are able to feel someone's feelings - think their thoughts - just as well as (if not better than) your own.
...you do not see anyone else.
...you care. You honest to goodness care.

Have I always felt this way?
Actually, I recently began believing in love almost 2 months ago.
And to be almost disgustingly honest...
I have never been happier in my entire life.

This particular writer's block happened to be created for me, or so I have reason to believe...

I have been writing about my boyfriend for the last 3 weeks nonstop.

He makes me so beyond happy.

He's incredible.

Yes.

And I love him.

But that's a given.

Writer's Block: So Sensitive

What are you most sensitive about?

View 500 Answers

Good one!

Several things:
1. When people speak negatively about homosexuality. As an actress, I have a deep compassion and understand for those who are interested in the same sex. I've grown up around gays and I think they are amazing.
2. When people doubt my career choice. Many have told me I need a fall back. Which I don't.
3. When people make fun of others because they're "nerdy." I've been the fucking coolest nerd for my entire life, and I will go on doing so. The underappreciated need to stick together!

Demi's Story...

She felt the tormenting rain of painful fantasy shower her throbbing head. It's teeth sunk into her burning flesh, her eyes filling with tears. It was not guilt or jealousy. 'Twas not the green eyed monster revealing itself - retreating from the dark confides of imagination. What struck her with such a blow was unconditional loathing for the only being on Earth that could make her feel so strongly, so harshly, so deeply. What she felt was the most intense hatred, at such a level that made even to breathe unbearable, or better yet, undesirable. Amidst her deafening shrieks followed by a boundless trail of tears, she discovered that this magnified aversion was directed toward one of the seemingly most influential people in her life - the woman who bore her.

"In and out," Demi told herself semi-placidly in a sad attempt to thrust the intolerable memory of the previous evening out of her mind.
"Breathe, child...."
"...breathe."
When assured she would have the ability to keep respiring for at least the next few minutes, Demi meticulously made her way down the steps and into the kitchen to grab something to eat. After picking around the fridge and pulling out a half eaten orange, she stopped by her father's meat knife, sitting inconspicuously on the frigid countertop. Her fingers burned, tempted to reach for the luminous blade.
"Oh, what's the point?" She questioned herself woefully. "I'd probably just...miss the vain and get blood all over the carpet. Some people say it takes practice before you can successfully commit suicide."
Shaking her head, Demi ran a trembling finger over the sharp edge of the luring instrument, forming a small wound. Satisfied, and in muted pain, she found her way back up the stairs and resumed her position underneath the cordial bedsheets, slowly drifting into a motionless slumber.

That was the beginning of my new short story. I like this one best. And I actually have a plot. And I'm gonna use another paragraph I wrote a few weeks ago, the God Help the Outcasts one. We'll see how it turns out.
